Itsy Bitsy Yoga for Babies, Toddlers, and Preschoolers

What is Itsy Bitsy Yoga?

6a00d8341c638753ef0147e28c3c1e970bItsy Bitsy Yoga is the program that started it all for Breathing Space founder Jen Mueller. Itsy Bitsy Yoga is a unique blend of yoga postures, child developmental movement, and parent/child bonding created by movement educator and mom Helen Garabedian.

Having practiced yoga for years, she never intended to teach yoga, but naturally signed up for a baby yoga class with her infant daughter. That weekly class encouraged Jen to embrace her daughter in the same loving, non-judgmental way that her own practice did for herself.

While Jen was trying to juggle new parenthood, working-from-home and working in an office, baby yoga became a special ritual each week for dropping the agenda and for mom and daughter to spend time just enjoying each other and moving together. When her work schedule changed Jen was unable to find a class nearby that fit both work and nap routines, but she stumbled on a listing for Itsy Bitsy Yoga facilitators training with Helen . . . and signed up. That turned out to be the first step on the path that lead to Breathing Space Family Yoga.
